If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude - Maya Angelou
Change is not an activity that organisations undertake with impunity. Choosing to change must be as a result of a considered process where the outcomes of the change are believed to be advantageous to the organisation, team or individual in a certain way. Frontline staff who understand why change is required and how opportunities for change may be identified are likely to contribute more effectively to the organisation's continuous improvement processes, as well as to their own personal and professional development. This element focusses on why organisations may need to change and helps the individual to use dedicated mechanisms to identify change opportunities, including through use of problem solving and root cause analysis tools.
